Glad they found the issue.

Herb, you need to have a discussion with your daughter and son-in-law on why the injection pump failed. It could be the electric lift pump is failed and not pushing the fuel to it, or possibly the new ultra-low sulfur fuel is not adequately lubricating the pump.

Way beyond my knowledge but probably not his. He had stated a part could be replaced to resolve the problem within the pump but with filings in the screen he decided to replace the whole thing. As of the close of day yesterday the job had still not been completed so there may still be more to the story. But thanks for sharing.
