1995 BTA 5.9 Oil Capacity and Filter

I am getting ready to change the oil in my 230 HP 1995 BTA 5.9 and need to know the proper Oil Filter to use on my engine.

One of my manuals list a Fleet-guard LF3349 and the other manual lists a LF9098. I currently have a NAPA with an unknown number.

The two manuals also list different sump capacities from 12 quarts to 17 quarts and I thought it required 19 quarts. I do not know if the previous owner had the dip stick calibrated or not and I will not trust it until I complete my oil change.

My Engine Serial Number is 45061157.

Thank you, Ed.

Sundancer, Contact Cummings with the engine serial number and they will tell you the oil capacity and filter number.
Also what oil they recommend.

Dick.
