I'm just going to throw this out there.... Since we were never looking over the tech's shoulder, we can only fling $hit on the wall and see what sticks.

I'd be wondering what the "fueling state" was during the dyno run. As the engine is running the "fueling state" changes.. If there is a derate going on, then we'd have a place to start. There are plenty of reasons that the ecm may pull fuel out. For example intake temp, or AFR derate (smoke abatement), among others.. With out a fault code you can only rule out mechanical issues..

A mechanical issue can be anything from a stuck/broken injector pintle to a pinched suction hose causing high fuel restriction. If indeed they are baffled, at what you state you've paid I'd think a factory engineer looking over this project is a must.. There is no mystery to electronic diesel engine. Parts fail, system fail, electronics breakdown.....but even if the block breaks, its repairable.....

Throwing parts is like throwing darts and $$ behind you...... You may hit the target someday or somehow!! I deal with Cummins almost every day, and I can't recall an issue I couldn't solve by following the t/s steps and phoning a friend to compare thoughts with. I wish you better luck tomorrow.

I agree diesel beaver. They need to quit treating symptoms and find the problem causing the symptoms, then fix it. We sort of got off topic there with improved performance on a good running engine. I've never recommended using performance products on an engine that has a problem. That will just confuse the issue.

Going back and reading from the beginning would make me want a good look at the air intake and the exhaust for being very restrictive.

Next somewhere I read where 55 psi boost was expected, guess they were confusing psi and inches of mercury. 55 "mercury = about 27.5 psi.
Some specs are listed in inches, not psi.

I have been working with the Cummins Service Engineer. He is at a loss too. There is no restriction in the intake or exhaust. They pressured checked the intake, no leaks. New CAC and a straight through resonator on the exhaust. The injectors are new, 25 miles. Fuel flow shows 100%. No de rating is happening. No codes. No blockages. They ran fuel from their own source directly into the high pressure pump, no fuel restriction.

I have to say for sure that you are persistent! It sounds like you just plain and simply have a "pig" Through out over 60 posts......everything suggested has already been done It sounds like your are going to just live with it or get rid of it........I think I would of traded it a long time ago before dumping all the money that you have spent with no results, are you thinking with all the money that you have invested in trying to troubleshoot this problem is to the point ($) to where you "can't" get rid of it? When is "enough is enough"

I know it's a long shot but has anyone ever took a flashlight and looked at the air intake snorkel (if applicable) on this unit. I was checking boost pressure on my M11 and one tech told me to start there. Rodents and birds love building nest in these areas. Mine runs from the air filter box right up the back and pulls air from the roof area. Its worth a try!
