I have a 2006 Diplomat with the 400 hp ISL and the serial number falls under the wrist pin problem. I did a lot of checking before I purchased the coach 5 years ago. Most of the failures show up within the first 10,000 miles. The "recall" is only revising the stop engine light to go off, no mechanical fix. I have a friend with an Allegro Bus, same engine, his stop engine light lit up, he immediately pulled over with a trail of oil behind him, a total engine loss. He had, like I have, the Good Sam extended warranty, which covered the cost less his deductible. There is a very small percentages of these engines that fail and if you purchase one with more than 10,000 miles on it you are safe but I would still purchase an extended warranty at least for a year or so to guarantee you made a safe purchase.
