2008 425 Air Filter

The filter minder indicator is between 408 and 510. Other than removing the band clamp on the air tube, is there anything else? Does the filter / canister come as one piece?

Thanks

Not really. After the band is off or loose the upper and lower parts pull apart. It takes some effort. After the new filter is in it is necessary to match up the upper and lower so they fit together properly and then make sure that the band fits over a tab on the housing halves before you can clamp it shut.

If this is all new to you, be aware that a slight mistake in the air intake system can damage your motor.

1 hand full of dust will wipe out your piston rings causing all sorts of problems.

Be sure to connect back, all of the air intake pipes, properly.

If you have someone do it for you, check that they put everything back correctly.
