Good evening guys; Sorry to hear about your rough time with your fuel filter change. I have a 01 Monaco Windsor with a primary and secondary filter. My primary has the clear bowel with a drain and no electrical connection. My secondary filter has the electric connection with a drain and no bowel. Do your ISL engines on the Freight liner chassis have lift pumps. On my 01 Windsor with the ISC and a friend of mine who has an 05 Monaco Camelot with an ISL have the lift pump that runs for the first 30 seconds to one minute when the ing. key is first turned to the start position. From info acquired from my friend with the Camelot, we cycle the ing. key at least a minimum of 5 to 6 times before attempting to start the engine. We have not pre filled the filters. Always starts right up and runs. One time had a stumble and engine stopped. Let lift pump cycle and cranked for about 15 seconds with no problems. Engine started up and kept running. This is just what works for us so don't change what you are doing if it works for you. Just thought I would share. Have a great evening. P.S. We only change one filter at a time. Not both at once.
