Can't help you with your search, but can confirm that the Dodge truck diesels and the standard Cummins units are alike only in the head and block. As my shop explained to me (I have both an ISB pickup & MH) all of the electronics and peripheral components are completely different.

turbo

Take your engine serial number and go to you local Cummins Dist.
You will have no problem buying a new or rebuilt unit.

If no local Cummins outlet then calling Cummins Care with your engine serial number, they should provide you with the turbo P/N and you could do an online search for a match. Make sure gaskets are included.

Thanks guys,

I was hoping for someone to chime in who might have been down this road before. I would like to know all my options new, used or reman as I have a feeling Cummins will be pretty proud of their turbo especially being a VGT. The other thing that bothers me is the turbo on the engine and the one in the Cummins parts website are very different, but perhaps a design change.

Thanks again for your help.

I would do a search on line with your part number. You might find one cheaper than Cummins. I would look at the performance sites you mite find a better unit that will work.
