I would first check the accessories belt (fan belt). The squeaking indicates a loose belt . The belt becomes slick and worn from slippage and may require replacement. If that is not the problem it begins to get costly.

After checking your belt tension. I would then check the connections on your alternator and make sure they are tight and not corroded.

Is the alarm turning off while reving or is it going off? Tighten the belt.

I have had the same problem on our 07 Camelot. As it turns out the the electrical bay right below the drivers seat there is an Alt relay. It controls the light/buzzer. On Mine Monaco used too small of wire running from the alternator to the relay. I was getting a voltage drop that was just enought that at idle the alarm would go off. If I reved it at all the light would go out. Took me a while to figure it out.

Thanks for the great info.! I will get a new belt, a new battery and have the connections checked. Hopefully that will cure the problem. Tommy
