Thanks....so I guess with my meter set to 20 volts, and I'm getting .13 on my meter, then it should be a safe bet that it is FRIED? Thanks for keeping me straight...

Disconnect the center lead from your isolator and check the voltage again. I had an isolator that was fried which was causing me to have a low voltage reading.

I just put a brand new one in because my other one was in two pieces. I just figured that might have been the reason why my alt is now bad. Am I thinking right? I work hydraulics......not electrical. Thanks again.

You are thinking right. I had a isolator that burned up. Didn't find that out until it blew the stator in a rebuilt alternator! Next time I am troubleshooting I will check the Isolator and alternator before I replace either!
