Antifreeze Change

Here are my stats:2007 ISB 6.7
Have Alliance Heavy Duty Coolant (Pre charged SCA's)

Change thermostat from old EC9044 to new 5292712

I am going to swap out old coolant to Global Final Charge.

My game plan is to remove lower radiator hose, dump old coolant (heater open), flush out old coolant until clean using well water, then flush out with distilled water, then add new Global Final Charge.

Does this sound alright?

Since you won't be able to totally drain the system of clean water after the flushing you should use concentrated Final Charge. This requires that you know the amount of coolant they system requires. If it take 10 gallons then you need 5 gallons of concentrate and fill with it, then top off with distilled water. That gives you a true 50/50 mix.

That's my intent, I purchased 10 gallons of Final Charge concentrate and use distilled water.

Dont forget the dash heater core loop and engine preheat (if you have the aqua hot option).

The 6.7 Cummins diesel doesn't have cylinder liners so doesn't need SCA. ISC up do need SCA additive for cooling system.

Here is my response from Freightliner, after all my research it looks like I can not use the extended life Final Charge Global antifreeze.

Does there explanation make any sense regarding the low coolant probe?

Dear Customer,
It is not compatible with the low coolant probe which can give false
readings.

No, extended life coolant is NOT recommended.
