Depends on the kit and engine. We have the Power Pack for an ISC 350, it had a new turbo housing, actuator valve, EGR gauge (need to drill and tap the exhaust manifold), "black box" and new engine/transmission wiring loom.

a k....for the ISC, Banks has 2 different systems...the Stinger TLC and the PowerPack TLC. Neither includes any exhaust pieces, but the PowerPack includes an improved Quick Turbo assembly housing for faster turbo "spin up" over stock. Both systems include the OttoMind computer, wiring harness, sensors, gauges, etc. The PowerPack system is said to improve our Cummins' stock HP from 350 to 435. And the stock max torque goes from 1050 @ 1400 rpm (and then falls off) to 1200 at 1400 rpm and stays there to 1700 rpm before falling off. And it is the torque improvement that still amazes me, expecially when accelerating onto freeways and up entrance ramps. I could not be happier with our Banks system....and I think it shows!!

I would suggest, if you have an interest, to contact the Banks folks directly and ask them to send you one of their brochures. 1-800-438-7693. Once you get through(and it may take a few moments due to staff reductions), you will find them very helpful....especially the tech support guys. And no, I don't work for Banks! I just love their product on our coach!!

The fuel system and emission requirements were changed for '03. I think the certification requirements changed also, making it not worth while.

You must have read and be quoting my post #8 earlier in this thread. To see the charts I posted go back to post #8 also.

Mr. D....read your #8 post quite a while back and forgot all the data you included. Well done, by the way. No....I was not quoting your post and trying to outdo you....honest. Was reading today's posts quickly and just trying to briefly answer the previous poster's questions based upon my literature and experience. Nothing more. Does that make sense?? Hope so...

interesting...

And I read that other thread, said increased boost from 26 to 30?

Mine runs 36psi at full boost according to monaco's gauge...
Paperwork says 360HP, 1050 ft-lbs.

1200 ft-lbs from off idle to redline would make me smile.
And it wouldn't brake my heart to donate the DPF to a local landfill...

I put a Banks kit on my 1999 7.3 Ford and what a difference. Picked up almost 4 MPG. New Turbo and 5" exhaust. Just didn't know how they did it on the big engines. I know you can flash the ECM's on some ISL's up to a different torque and HP.

The boost on our ISC 350 went from about 25-26psi to 35-36psi.

Very interesting thread. I didn't see any difference in milage either, but like was stated above, it wasn't my intention, I thought I needed the power, of that I wasn't disappointed, the Banks system delivers. I did have a problem with the engine overheating, but found out the thermostate was broken. This year I saw 1100-1200 degrees on the pyro, but the water temp stated normal. Now, if I could get the boost back up, I'd be a happy camper. LOL!!
