I have the same engine in a Freightliner chassis. Sorry, but I have no idea what all you abbreviations mean (regen light ?)

We are 40 ft around 34 thousand and tow a Honda Element. Just of 2000 miles and getting nearly 8 mpg. Expect to get better when we get a few more miles on the engine.
Let us know what they find.

Ahhh OK. Never has. I have read about this, but it seems this occurred with many more miles than you describe. Good luck, hope you get it straightened out.

You need to push those maintenance folks a lot harder. We've only had one Regen, and that was when we got the rig from the dealer. They had a habit of starting and idling it for extended times when showing it to prospective buyers.

We now have over 9,000 miles and haven't had it regenerate again. Sounds like your engine was in a power limiting mode at least once. A good Freightliner shop should be able to troubleshoot this. I'd call the Freightliner Help Line during normal business hours. You need to talk to one of their technicians there. They're good and will give you a straight story.

John
