C8.3 12V manuals, internet info of any kind

Hello,

I'm still performing my pre-purchase information searches and have hit a wall when it comes to the C8.3 12V engine. It's rated extremely well, in blogs, but you'd think it never existed by the lack of technical information on it.

The Cummin's site isn't any help, or I'm just not searching it correctly. Wikipedia talks about the ISC, other sites talk about the off-road version, nothing in the stickies here, so where does a guy get specs and manual information on this engine?

Thanks

We get ours from the engine manual which came with the coach...If one Googled Cummins ISC 8.3 here on iRV2 there should be several days worth of reading.
There is also Cummins Quick Serve Online but you'll need the engine serial number...

Thanks H. Miller, I'm more concerned with the Cummin's C8.3 12V than the ISC though. The searches on iRV2 do produce some info, but not the manuals and info relating to the motorhome version. Little by little i'll probably be able to piece it all together, but I just wanted it all in one place if possible.

Thanks again

Just drop the 12V designation and search on Cummins C8.3 manual.

They are not cheap to buy, but they are available.

BTW, Cummins still manufactures this engine for agriculture and contruction applications.

C 8.3

The manual can be puchased from Cummins part # 3666003 for the Troubleshooting and Repair. You also could create a Quick Serve account if you have a engine serial number. The manual is on line there as well.

Thanks, As soon as I locate a specific motorhome, there will be a number to enter for the Quick Serve account. That's if the owner doesn't have the manual already. Thanks again
