Anyone else receive this campaing notice from Cummins? They state it is to update the ECM and is new for 2011. Any "techs" know what it does or changes? I've read about horror stories where these kind of "improvements" actually created related issues.

If you have the ECM serial # I could look it up on my INCAL. I know they have nothing but trouble with the ISX engine with the DPF .

Theres an engine serial # and an ECM(computer) serial #. Updates go by ECM#'s. When you get the update, make sure the don't password protect the ECM, and if there is a password get them to delete them. It is a pain if you have to have someone else work on your rig. Also see if they will print out the ECM work order for you. That way you know everything about the engine. Get them to print it to a PDF file. Most are about 50 pages long.

Thanks for the info and suggestions. I'll follow through. Steve at Coach Care has been good to me with earlier coaches.
