Hi everyone. For some reason my cruise gave up the ghost on the last outing. Does anyone have any suggestions where to start? I took this to an well known big truck shop for same day service and after 3 days picked it up and thought i would do some research and see where it takes me. I have read previous posts but nothing leaped out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Gene,

To help answer your question, please post more info. What is the complaint? What Cummins engine? Anything else you can provide. Just like going to the doctor - what hurts, when did it start, what makes it feel better or worse? A lot of people here, but throwing darts with out a board to aim at is kinda hard. Thanks

On a side note.. If it is electronic the shop should of been able to connect to Cummins Insite and checked your switch operation (cruise on/off, set/resume, brake switch on/off). If it is mechanical then things get a little more complicated due to manufacturers going out of business or modules/parts no longer serviced.

The cruise control is not a Cummins engine component, so it's not a Cummins issue. This topic should move to the Fleetwood forum, or maybe the Spartan Forum if its a Spartan and not a Gillig chassis.

This may not be your problem but I just spent a lot of money, first at thevdealer who said it wasn"t a coach problem, then at the engine dealer who said it wasn"t a engine problem, only to find the toad was wired wrong and was back feeding into the coach making it think the brakes were on? Good luck
