Cummins Antifreeze/Coolant

Wondering if anyone has use this antifreeze?
Cummins CC36154 FluidPOWER HD Antifreeze/Coolant.
This is what Cummins Coach Care put in my ISX. They said it is compatible with OAT Coolant. The water filter that was installed is a Fleetgaurd, # WF2127

Nope, have never seen it. When they rebuilt my ISX in 2015 they used CC36077 which is Fleetguard ES Complete OAT. This is also Detroit Diesel Power Cool Plus which I have a couple gallons of for adding.

I used Complete also. Drained, flushed (3 times) and filled about 2 months ago.

Appears that you have a premium OAT coolant and the appropriate blank filter. Interesting that this Cummins branded coolant is significantly more expensive than the equivalent Fleetguard ES Compleat OAT coolant.

The 50/50 mix cost $13.17 and the concentrate cost $19.97 a gal. I did call Cummins to ask if it was compatible with Fleetguard ES Compleat OAT and they said it was.

unless topping off I would recommend you get the concentrate to do a full change out. You never know how much water is in your system after you do your final flush. Just add 50% of your total cooling system capacity with the concentrate. Now fill with distilled water. You now have a perfect 50/50 mix.

Not sure if you are talking to me, but if you are I had a complete flush done when they installed the new radiator and CAC.

I am talking to those who have and will have their radiator done weather you do it your self or have some one else do it. The method I described is the only way to get a 50/50 mix because you don't know how much water is trapped in your system.

Over the 5 year coolant change cycle, I'm betting the source and price difference twixed any and all is not much.
The cost of "now" against the time span is pretty much trivial.
I call it "Git er dun and move on".

Hi Curt,

Where did you take the picture of the Cummins CC36154 FluidPOWER HD. I can't find it anywhere. I converted over last summer in Alaska, but now have a leaking radiator. Cummins in Ca. give me a blank stare when I ask about it.

Thanks,
Bob
