Hi to all,
Need help with my regeneration problem. It did not do a complete regeneration and I am now at a loss due to the "Check Engine Light" that came on and keeps repeatadly going on for a few minutes, then off for a few minutes and then repeating the sequence. The engine code I get is "SPN 3251 FM1 2OC2, originally got SPN 3251 FM1 4 OC126". The manual says that you can do a manual regeneration process, but I cannot find any switch or button that the manual refers to. Please help!!

Is your Cummins still covered by warranty? I have a 2009 Cat. When we get a stage 1 regen. It says to drive at highway speeds to do a regen. IMO if you are getting a check engine light you should take it to a Cummins dealer asap. IMO there isn't a easy button to fix a regen problem. Hope you get a ton of smart people to answer. Good luck Peace...d

found this:

Warning or Check Engine Lamp
A flashing DPF Lamp combined with an illuminated
Warning or Check Engine Lamp indicates that the Aftertreatment Diesel Particulate
Filter needs regeneration immediately. Engine power will be reduced automatically.
A ‘Parked’ regeneration is required.
NOTE: If a ‘Parked’ regeneration is not performed, the red STOP ENGINE Lamp
will illuminate. The vehicle should be stopped as soon as it can safely be done and
remain shut down until it can be serviced by a Cummins authorized repair location.

Hi to all,
After the fault code came on and off, sometimes with 200+ miles between off and on, and then several times an hour, I took the RV to Cummins in Syracuse New York to have it checked. The technician read the code and said that it was indicating a shorted wire to one of the sensors on the regeneration unit.

He found a wire had corroded in two near the connection to the sensor. He replaced the sensor end, and all has been well in the 200 miles that I have driven it since.

I have 23,000 miles on the RV and was surprised that the end had corroded completly in two pieces in the 2 1/2 years that I have owned it.
