I recently purchased these filters. I noticed the LP9009 oil filter was made in the U.S. The FS 1003 was made in Mexico and the FF5488 was made in China. These all had the Fleetguard name. They all said they exceed the OEM specs.

Is there a concern using filters made in China/Mexico even though they say exceeds OEM spec? Can anyone verify these are as good as the U.S. made equivilants? I'm really concerned about the Chinese FF5488?

I called another place which sells these and the FF5488 which they had in stock was made in the U.S. I bought the above filters from a large international truck chain which has multiple branches.

Any comments on this please and would be appreciated.

If they are Fleetguard then they will carry the Fleetguard warranty. Unless you bought counterfeit filters that is!

The LF9009 is made in the US at the Cookeville, TN plant and at the San Luis Potosi plant. Mid size spin on and cartridge fuel filters are made in Mexico and some in China. They are authentic Fleetguard. Fleetguard made the decision to move production from the US to Mexico and China without consideration of what customers would think. It will pain you to know that your Cummins engine is made of parts supplied from China, Mexico and India. Assembled in the US wit a lot of US sourced components. All of them are doing this. I have to wonder how we can survive as a country when we cannot make anything.
