The Silverleaf software is not older than the engine in your '07 coach. I really like the VMSpc and think you will too

Not sure what you mean by "dated software". They have engine files to download for the latest engines, plus ones that include parameters for Banks kits.
Been using the VMSpc since somewhere around 2000 or 2001. The only "problem" I find is that the VMSpc boost gauge only goes to 25-26 psi, whereas the Banks gauge shows 36 to 38 psi under full load.

I'm not downing the silverleaf product or products. I am simply referring to reviews from their testimonial web site. Quite simply put I don't own one, no very little than what I have studied and was supplying Topdownman with information in his search to solve his CEL issue! Geez!

Yes the ScanGauge D allows you to read the CE codes. That is the primary reason I bought it. I read many satisfied customer reviews on that very topic. The good news is that when I hooked mine up, there were no codes recorded. The bad news, I dont know what caused the light!

I will say that the ScanGauge plugged right in and started reading right away. Now I am getting accurate engine temps, oil ps, and voltage. For the money, I am pleased I bought it and look forward to learning more.

isnt a CEL strictly an emmision related light? Thats how it is with cars...

so it could be, bad gas, old oil, secondary injection system, bad cats etc... but Im a newbie to trucks.

Well, I broke down and bought the Scangauge D. The price was good (ordered it off Amazon) and it'll be here in a few days. I'll let you know what I find (if anything).

Mark:

The SG comes with a decent "quick-start" manual, but not the extensive users manual. They have it on their webpage in PDA or printable. I went ahead and printed mine to keep in the coach. So you might want to get a headstart before your SG arrives.

Mine plugged right in (my plug was practically in my lap beside the steering colunm) and the SG started working imediately. It took me all of about 5 minutes to hide the cables and bundle the rest under the dash with some tie-wraps. So far- so good!

Thanks for the info. I did already download the PDFs and have been reviewing them prior to receiving the Scan Gauge.

My Scanguage arrived yesterday. I'll update once I have it installed, but probably won't have time for a week or so.

Not sure what the outcome was, since the OP never came back. However, I had the same problem this past summer, on, off, on & off again. Checked everything I could and couldn't find anything. Nothing showed up on my Silverleaf, so I decided to stop by CUMMINS. Well, it appears that the TURBO wiring harness wasn't fastened properly and caused the wiring to rub & cause it to short out, when it moved back & forth. It only took CUMMINS a few minutes to diagnose the problem with their computer. Since replacement, no more CEL!!!!!! Cost was the $100.00 deductable.

Is your '07 XC equipped with the LBCU system? My '07 Winnebago with the 300 HP ISB 02 Cummins in the FL XC Chassis has it and you can do some diagnostics with it. Otherwise, I'd suggest a trip to a Cummins or FL dealership and have them run the diagnostics. I had CEL issues last spring pulling hills, it was the VGT portion of the turbo that went bad - not an overly uncommon problem as I learned.
