Try fleetpride for belts and hoses( I've heard them called hump hoses). But you'll need part numbers so they can cross reference. Or you can just bring what you need in and try and match

I have US Warranty. So far t.f get are covering a rebuilt turbo, I opted to get a new one so I had to pay $1,500 out of pocket.

They need pull the head so that's an add on claim. There are a few clauses in the contract so fingers crossed the failure doesnt fall into that category.

To date they have only declined on repair and that was a generator issue where there was water and a nest in it. That's excluded in the plan.

Ready to pull the head, just need to remove the brackets. They are welded in so I will have a fabricator remove then have brackets added so that it bolts back in.

You do realize the areas you plan on cutting will still need to be supported so as not to put stress on the unsupported overhead. Maybe some adjustable screw type tall muffler jacks that could be used on the outside portion of the work area until the new support is reinstalled

Got that covered, it's well supported beyond that bracket. Its built like a tank. I will fabricate brackets that will let that section be removable in case other items need to be removed.

Mark D, Are you in the process of the repairs to your head because of #6 valve issues? Doing this yourself?

The work is being done at the Cummins dealer in Concord NH. The first issue was the turbo froze. That didn't fix it so the head needs to come off. It should be off Monday or Tuesday. I should know then what the damage is.

They said they were intact but wouldn't spin presumably from lower use. That's not to say something did break off. But at this point all they can surmise is that it is #6.

Mark, I hate to laugh...but what they told you is actually funny. I could believe that the variable feature of the turbo might seize from lack of use...but the turbo not spinning...unless your oil turned to concrete?!

In my opinion, statements like the one they made to you come from people whom are about to bend you over...well you have insurance so not sure it matters...but it still doesn't make it right to lie to people. I believe Cummins is a lousy outfit and will screw you in any fashion possible.

Just my 2 cents
