Dodge & the ISB ?

Have heard from two different sources that the Dodge pickups are not using the Cummins ISB in 2015, instead are using maybe a Fiat Diesel ?
Also talked to a Dodge dealer mechanic who sez the half ton pickup uses a small Fiat diesel, does not think it is a long lasting engine.
Any info available ?

Cummins is signed thru I think 2019 in heavy duty ram trucks. They are not stupid and will not let go of cummins engines in the heavy duty trucks.

Yes the 1500 uses a vm motori diesel which is a fiat owned company. Haven't heard any issues from my customer who is sales manager at largest dealer in Southeast 15 states. He said the first few had a minor recall on something simple but was like an hour fix. He said they sell every ECO diesel within a day of its arrival.

Chad,
Sounds good, did not think the management at Fiat was THAT dumb to cancel the only reason one would purchase a HD Dodge pickup, surely one would not buy those pickups if the Cummins engine was not used ?
Cheers

From what I have seen so far I have been impressed with how things have been run with chrysler so far. I've been a mopar fan from way back and was worried a few years ago about things. If you read motor trend and consumer reports and others right now ram trucks are among the best made and always top picks. The new charger hellcat motors are a testament to the mopar roots of lots of hp. The way I see it, I think they are headed in the right direction with the most growth of ANY automaker. Just my $.02.

Chad,
Your correct about the Mopar stuff, I have had a number of Mopar toys, got started in 1964, first new car, a Valiant V100, 170 engine, current a 69 Original Hemi Road Runner and a barn find cream puff 340 Dart I STOLE IT FOR $1,800 ABOUT 15 yrs ago with 34,000 miles all like new.
Too many Mopars to list. no trucks, had great luck with the Ford w/diesels.
Yes the new Hellcat is a wild child indeed.
