Already to start our trip - turned on the ignition, dash lights okay, waited for the okay to start, turned ignition to start -- no engine turnover. (1998 HR Endeavor with Cummins 5.9 ISB) Batteries are fine and did try using the booster with the same results. The headlights stay bright when I try to start and there's no "clicking" from the starter. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad relay or starter solonoid. should be on the back firewall somewhere, when you find it tap it pretty good a couple of times and it will likely start, especially if this happened all of a sudden. If that does it, replace the part asap.

do you have a battery disconnect switch for the engine? This would keep the engine from turning over. You can also take an ohmmeter, & verify 12V at the starter if it is accessible.

Good Luck!

The problem has been solved with a new magnetic switch/starter relay. I also replaced the 100 amp CB while I was under. I originally thought it was the starter but got the engine running with a remote starter which by-passed the failed components.
