Help, I wentr to change my oil plug saturday and replace
it with a fumoto value, and I discovered my plug
had a cap on it.... I had my vac attached to the fill
pipe so I could unscrew this cap, and there was some kind
of gismo inside. Never saw anything like that.

Anyway the threads on the fumoto was a lot smalled
than the plug.....what is going on??

Your Fumoto valve should be a 104 or 104N if your Cummins is an ISC like ours.
QuickOilDrainValve.com - the best way to change oil

The 104N just has a nipple to attach a hose. I went the couple of extra bucks for one.

Vectras also came with a Cat 7.2 in 04. I'm not sure what the model is to look up the Fumoto for one. If it is a C7 you need a T-204 or T-204N

Google "E Z drain" oil plug and see if that looks like what you have. If so, you may only have the part that stays in the pan.

My old plug just looked like any automotive, a short bolt and washer. I saved it but it is not with us right now so I can't offer a photo.

Can you get a photo of yours?
