Hydraulic Filter

One of my filters is missing! Or at least hiding. My Spartan manual states that there is a filter for the hydraulic fluid on the Mountain Master chassis. I opened the fluid resevoir (not the dip stick access) only found the spring and fluid in the resevoir. Traced the lines to the front of the coach. No other filter in sight. Is it likely that the '04 doesn't actually have a filter for the hydraulic fluid? I've changed all the other filters this week. Can't find this one. Help!

On my 2004 DSDP there is a filter inside the tank and a spin on filter under the tank.

My 05 KSDP has no filter. It was built early in the model year.

Thanks for the reply GaryKD and tmitchell, I have to believe that my KountryStar doesn't have a filter. I've looked again. Definitely nothing inside the hydraulic tank (except fluid) and nothing in line after the tank. My unit was built in very early '04. I'll try to contact Spartan after the Labor Day holiday and see if a tech can explain whats up.
