ISC 330 lack of use

looking at a MH with a Cummmins ISC 330. The MH is a 2006 with 17000 miles, means not used much and could have sat a while. Is there a concern with this. And what should I look at when checking the MH out.

Thanks

Well some people have a different perspective on this then i do. Low miles is what I looked for when i bought mine, to me it just means hasn't been rattled around as much. I would look at tire condition, maint records, make sure all systems work correctly, did it sit inside or out, if it has slides when were they re-sealed if ever, check fuel to see if there is any algae in it. Was the tank full when stored, if not there is a chance of condensation, great condition for algae growth.

Was it just used lightly all along, or long period of non use. Overall condition, and first appearance will tell you lots. Jmho

We bought a 2004 model, built Sept of 2003, with a July of 2003 built Cummins ISL - 2 1/2 years ago with a bit under 13K miles. So I had the same concern as part of my research. Turned out by the review of the records, that the 1st owner had used the coach multiple times each year, as well as regular yearly maintenance. (He had bought the coach to go to Fresno Home Football Games, running up from San Diego for each home game. Only one trip, to the Grand Canyon.)

After I had completed my full inspection over/under/in, and the DW and I agreed this coach was a very good match for our us - I paid for the local Cummins to do a Dyno test, and full chassis/engine/trans review. Sent the oil in for analysis. All came back with a clean bill of health - so I feel I'm now at 23K, completing the 'break in ' period on the engine.

I hope if you like this coach, that you find a positive answer from having a full review completed.

Best of luck,
Smitty
