ISC 330 Starter
The starter bendix on my 2002 Diplomat hung up last weekend. It's only happened once, but it's the original starter (64k miles) so I'm planing to just replace the entire assembly. The problem is I can't seem to find a new one. I pulled both the Cummins & Delco part numbers and searched the web, but no luck. Anyone have a source they can recommend?

Starter on my Cummins ISB began acting up, needed to bump the key to get it to engage. I removed the starter and took it to local Generator/starter repair shop, they replaced the solenoid, cleaned and tested the starter. About $80 total... Has not missed a beat in about 5 years... Solenoid contacts have a reputation for early demise...
Starters are $$$

Cummins P/N 3939304

I just Googled this number and found more info than one would ever need. Didn't look real hard but found one at $459.95 and several where you called/emailed for price....

Mine did the same. Sometimes it took several bumps until it started.
Replaced the solenoid mounted on the XC frame fixed mine.
OP does your ISC have a frame mounted starter solenoid?
ISC starter $239

I'm not positive if mine has a frame mounted solenoid or not, but it doesn't appear to. I'll check it again... I only looked for P/N's.
And I'm not sure which number you googled? But I searched both and found literally hundreds that were close but none that were exact. Note that this series of starter is used in numerous applications and the last four digits in the P/N describe subtle differences such as rotation direction, number of teeth on the drive gear, angle of the solenoid wrt to the starter motor housing.
My point is I can't find the exact P/N so if you have please send me a link or tell me where.
Thanks

Triker56... apparently I spoke too soon. I checked the link you provided and it is for the correct Delco part number. Thanks!

Ours failed at the Good Sam rally in Phoenix early last year. Had to get a person in and they got it started with jumpers and a hammer. Then it worked fine till the day we were to head out to a NW rally at Brazils. Had to get a tow truck through Coach Net. They called around and Freightliner in Portland said they could get to it right away. Got there and they claimed they never said that and it's be a week before they could get to it. Got towed to Pacific Power in Ridgefield WA. They got me going just after midnight that night! Cost was just over $1000 for the starter assembly, tow was over $700 but no charge to me. Cummins doesn't stock or sell just the solenoid and I didn't have time to look, order and wait as my rig was illegally parked. I'll take a look at the one in the link, might just get one to stash away, that way I KNOW I'll never need it!
