2004 Monaco Knight with a ISC 330. What should the normal temp be? Mine run's around 200 on the dash gauge. It will run a bit hotter in the summer. Not sure the gauge is correct.

That sounds a bit high to me. My ISL400 has a 180* thermostat in it and I can watch the temp on my VMSpc hang right around that temp unless I'm climbing.

My ISC350 runs 190-195 depending on ambient temp. There are two pieces of thw temp system, the gauge and the sender unit. If the total system has a 5% error, then 200 isn't out of line. I wouldn't worry about it. You will get a red light warning and the engine will derate when the temp is to high.

Don't know about gauge error, but my Cummins 330 runs right on 185 degrees day in and day out. I pull a PT Cruiser and a motorcycle hangs on the back. My coach is loaded for bear.. Up and down the rockies and the hills in the ( WV, Oh, etc) Only time I saw an increase in temp was when using the PAC brake alot. I keep my air filter clean. More air the better.

We used to have a 2000 ISC 330 with a side mounted radiator. On typical days it would run ~180. It was set to overtemp at 215. I found that info in the manual.

I suspect (but don't know for sure) that radiator position and thermostat setting have the biggest impact on temperature readings, but the manual should tell you what temperatures you need to worry about.
