Just posting a follow-up from my latest trip from the flats of Florida to the mountains of the Adirondacks. After about 1300 miles and many grades to climb in Pennsylvania, and New York, I arrived at my destination without so much as one little drop of oil on the rear of my coach or trailer. I got a lot of road grime but NO oil.

I am a VERY happy camper.

I would anticipate on our trip back to Alaska next year that we have planned once we leave Florida after next winters season, there will not be anymore oil problems with any oil getting all over the rear end of the coach or the trailer.

The upgraded breather tube modification that Rocky Mountain Cummins installed for me last January has proven itself over and over again. I would not hesitate to recommend the same to anyone.

Oh, by the way, I sent Northwest Cummins located in Coburg, OR a detailed letter explaining the results that was achieved after the installation of the upgraded oil breather kit. I also asked why they did NOT offer me the same recommendation as the Cummins shop in Texas did when I came in with the problem originally. No response to my letter from them and it has been over 2 months since sending it. I believe they most likely filed it away in their round permanent floor file after chuckling a little to themselves saying "Too Bad".

Now I am having the alternator rebuilt as it crapped out about 300 miles from my destination. Drove the final 300 mile leg with no alternator. Luckily, it was daylight driving.

Extend the breather tube to convenient location. Drill hole for extended breather tube in aspirin bottle top. Add 1/4 inch hole in top of bottle for air to escape and tie wrap to a convenient location. Unscrew and drain bottle when full. Replace bottle.
