Does anybody besides me have a cummins ISC 350 with only a single fuel /water seperator filter? It appears mine has only the chassis mounted fuel/water seperator LF-1022 as I am not able to find the filter that should be mounted on the right side of the engine. Thanks.

Roadking's Ultimate Advantage has a Spartan chassis, but the same is true. The chassis mfg's provide the chassis with one fuel filter, and the coach builders add the second one IF there is a second one.

In 2003 and early 2004 Cummins approved engine installation with only one filter, a combined water separator and filter. Both Freightliner and Spartan built them that way. Then Cummins went back to requiring two.

I have an early 04 with an 03 Cummins ISL that has the single filter, just like yours. Even had it verified by the Cummins factory rep at a rally. He confirmed that minehad only one filter and it was a factory approved installation.

RV Roamer: Thanks for the info. My concern has been that I had an engine mounted filter that I could not see and hence, it has never been replaced. I would have assumed the primary filter install was by cummins (i.e. on the engine), not the chassis mfgr. A cummins tech told me some configurations had only a single filter, but as usual, I'm hesitant to believe everything I hear from some of the so called "trained professionals". One less item to worry about and only one fuel filter to pay for during service!!!

My coach is a very early 2003 mfg (May 2002), on a 2002 chassis, so apparently the Cummins approval went back a bit further than '03. I did confirm with a vin search at both Spartan and Winnebago that mine had only one filter.
