ISL

Can the ISX 12,500HP option on the 2019 Mountain Aire be programed for an increase in HP and torque. The transmission Allison 4000 series is the same used in conjunction with the X 15 engine. I would think that a HP and torque increase could be safely handled by the transmission.

I mean dang that's a Pretty big motor in itself. I have an ISL with a 450HP which is Much more than I need. What could you possibly be pulling on a ISX with 500 HP that requires you to Increase your numbers? You already have more than enough as is, however if you reprogram you'll lose fuel efficiency, lol, but something tells me you don't care about that, so, but to answer your question, YES you can reprogram it.

The higher HP ISX's are 14.9L, the 500 is 12L. Doubtful Cummins would do it but a diesel "hot rod" shop might.

I truly doubt Cummins will do anything to an ISX 12 that is not factory original and if an aftermarket person modified it would void the warranty.
If you want more power, then I would consider the London Aire or a Cornerstone with an X15 605hp.

You could also purchase an older coach with a 650hp ISX or a 650hp Cat. They were the pinnacle of power.

Try local truck shops that do ecm upgrades, They can enter your CPL, [cummins parts list] from your engine id sticker and if okay, upgrade your ecm to a higher hp/torque rating. The one I use, uses Cummins own programs, so no hit on reliability.
Never heard anyone complain, "I have too much horsepower"

I've had too much tonight. I saw "Can the ISX 12,500HP" and said to myself, who has a 12,500HP engine and why.

Would love 12500 hp, be able to win drag races with Porches. Thinking longevity and reliability, might take a hit.
