I will say, we came from NW side if Dallas in mid August, it was about 90-95 outside. When we parked for the evening the bathroom floor was so hot you almost could stand on it. Hopefully that will change!

Same issue here. We installed turbo wraps along with exhaust wraps. That lowered the engine area temp by 10 deg. On hot days things like vaseline would half melt.
After the long drive the other day the floor was warm but everything else was normal.

On some CC's, mine included, they installed a second air con unit under the bed. So far I've never tried it, but it's supposed to cool the bedroom in transit.

Mr_D,
I've never heard of a air unit under the bed, wondering how that is set up. Some Prevost conversions use 'Cruise Airs' that are in the basement compartment and/or a combination of cruise airs and roof units. We have four roof airs only.
I've been reading this whole thread from the start and I hate to see you having to go through an expensive repair possibly twice.
I think I would have sold the coach after the first repair.
Safe travels,
Mark

Yep, the air exchanger under the bed runs off the dash air con compressor. There is a separate control by the passenger seat. Between it and the bed slide mechanism there is no storage there.

From my owners manual:
Quote:
Over-the-Road Heating and Air Conditioning:
Your coach is equipped with an over-the-road heating/air conditioning system that operates only when the coach engine is running. Two heating/air conditioning units have been incorporated into the coach. One unit, located in the dash area functions as both a heating and air conditioning system, while the other, located in the bed room, is an air conditioning unit only. (See the Air Conditioning/Heating Controls section in Chapter 2.)
Other Controls:
Before the bedroom unit can produce cool air, the dash control panel’s knob must be turned to Norm A/C or Max A/C. The fan switch on the bed room remote panel controls the fan speed. The bedroom fan switch can be turned off if air conditioning is unwanted in the bedroom.

Our Eagle and Hiflyers Coach have rear bathroom with tile. I think that's the biggest reason. It's just slab of porcelain with a 200 degree heat source under it. For us we would run the rear AC to combat the heat. The rear is for the bedroom and bath with a good sized duct going into the bath.
I do think a system like your CC would be a plus. I would leave it on anytime I drove more than a few hours.

Mine is tile from the front to the bedroom door. Then carpet over the bedroom and engine. Haven't been in high temp areas where I needed the extra cooling in the bedroom. Heat pumps do fine so far.

Had an excess heat in the bedroom when traveling..removed the 35 gal barrel muffler and replaced with a resonator.. ended the heat issues..
NOTE! Pre-DEF/Regen engine exhaust treatment engine.

Mine has a DPF, which means that's a no go too.

I just purchased a 2012 Monaco coach with the ISX 650 engine. This discussion reminds me of the 996/997 era Porsche 911 engine IMS issue which caused a certain small percentage of engines to grenade. It would also be a $25k repair requiring a new engine. My coach came with a Good Sam’s warranty. I think I’ll be keeping that warranty in place for as long as they’ll sell it to me.

Wow Mark. You got one of the last big Monaco's ever built!
I didn't realize they put an ISX in those last Dynasty coaches.

I didn’t realize that either. I am new to the class A experience, and bought this from the lot of a guy who had been servicing our class C. This was a one owner coach which he sold to us on consignment from a another customer of his. He’s serviced it from new. It has 50k miles now. The seller even threw in the GMC on the deal. It seems like a really nice coach. This talk about the ISX failures has me worried though.
