Have a 350 ISC on a Roadmaster Chassis, 2000 Monaco Dynasty. A few seconds after firing it up I've had the low coolant warning light/alarm come on then after some more seconds it goes off. Might that do another time or two before it goes off for good. There have been times that it didn't happen (like on the test drive of course) but its happened often enough I thought I'd ask.

Visual inspection of coolant reservoir shows ok level so is this not unusual? Is the coolant sloshing around the sensor somehow on start-up. Where is the sensor anyway? Is the sensor going?

For me I don't rely on the visual bulb for coolant level. I use a stick, thin wooden rod that once used for a flag, to measure coolant level. I first fill the overflow tank to the visual bulb level then stick the level and mark the stick. After the initial measurement and marking thereafter I remove the radiator cap put the stick into the tank and see if it comes up to my mark.

Visual inspection of coolant reservoir
"Coolant reservoir" as in plastic overflow bottle? ...or as in metal tank with the small sight glass on the end? If you are paying attention only to the overflow bottle, you need to note the metal tank also which is the actual reservoir AND is there the sensor is located. If there is coolant visible in the sight glass, the sensor should be covered.

Overflow bottle. Guess I was just thinking the level would be down toward the min line if it was really min but also guess I should go to the source.
