Thank you for the extensive reply. I downloaded the Owners Manual and am confident I can do the install without too much difficulty. My old corded electric drill goes between and below the brace you mentioned on one post. Reaching down to put horizontal pressure on the drill may strain my old arm muscles but a good dose of patience should help.

If you have a service contract have you questioned whether the Banks system will affect it? I sent a question to Coach Care RV Protect but haven't received their reply.

OOPS! Not so fast:::

I was finally able to contact my service contract provider (Coach Care RV Protect from FMCA). Customer service assured me that installing the Banks Econominder will void my contract. He pointed to the appropriate contract section and it is quite clear on modifications and performance enhancements.

As the Sharks say: "For that reason I'm out"

Thanks again for all the information and advice. I'm disappointed to decide I won't be using it.

Barry

Well one more reason I self insure. I am running the Economind diesel tuner and the Banks IQ. I have just added the Straight Shot water methanol injection system. I am running just water to mainly control high EGT temperatures. So far it is doing a good job of keeping the temperatures down. I don't have enough data yet to make a good evaluation.

You don't have to worry about the transmission. When it reaches the shift point the Banks unit will de power so it doesn't abuse the transmission.
I will get back latter with more details.

Barry, I do not have a service contract on my coach. I've read to many horror stories about them not paying. I guess I just run the risk and hope and pray nothing expensive breaks. Best of luck with your decision.
