Noise with ignition and engine off

Ind Journey Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2011 Posts: 1	I noticed my chassis batteries were losing charge faster than usual and went to hook up a small charger and heard a high pitched sound coming from the engine area and traced it to what appears to be a egr valve on the exhaust manifold. I unplugged the wire on it and the noise stopped. What is this and why does is it energised with the ignition key off. it is a 2005 cummins ISB in a winnebago Journey __________________
