Oil capacity on oil/filter change

I did my first oil change a few days ago. 2016 Winnebago Forza 36G, Cummins 6.7 ISB 340hp motor.

Drained and measured old oil and what I could get out of old filter. About 16.5 qts. The reason I got more than 16 qts out is that when I bought the motorhome last summer, I added one quart of oil to bring the level on the dipstick up to half way between add line and full line.

Added 16 qts along with new filter (prefilling filter with some of the 16 qts). That is what I read as the correct refill amount on an oil/filter change for this motor. 16 qts.

Yet, when I read on dipstick after restarting motor and parking in my rv garage a few days later shows only up to the add mark on the dipstick. Should I presume the dipstick is not calibrated properly for this vehicle or is 16 quarts not the proper oil refill amount as I have read from several sources that it is?

A call to Cummins Care , with you engine serial number will provide the correct , oil fill amount .
If you don't have the engine serial number , and can't get close enough to get it off the engine tag. then a call to Freightliner free help line with your chassis serial number will provide that as well as trans and differential numbers too.
99% chance dipstick calibration is wrong , I had to calibrate Dodge/Cummins dipsticks all the time.

Make sure the dip stick is pushed all the way into the tube, and the engine is level.
Sometimes when pushing the dip stick back in it will hang up on the outer part of the tube. There should be no side to side movement of the dip stick.

Good idea to check dip stick before you change your oil to see what it was before you changed oil. On our 500 ISM the Cummins information sheet said 10 gallons but I have found early with 130K miles on engine that it is best to run 9 gallons because it will leak a little by dip stick area. The 9 gallons is right at add line. Have driven 20K miles on our Alaska trip and didn't use any oil. Many oil leaks are caused by having to much oil in the pan. Still not a drop of oil on the driveway.
