Oil Question

Regarding Rotella engine oil.....is it OK to mix T4 and T5 oils if the viscosity is the same?

The newer is compatible with the old. But if it needs T6 then you can't use 5.

Thanks Dean. I have the ISL as you know. I was going to add a little T4 before travel. I was planning on sticking with the T4 here on out.....I think T5 was used in one of the oil changes. It looks to me that T4 has more "to it" than T5 comparing the reading on the Rotella jugs. Would I be thinking right?
I'm not a real "brain" on the mechanics of oils. I just zero in on what's best for a particular engine and stick with it.
Edit; oh BTW, I know there's always a debate about what's "best" too. [emoji2] But, I have heard great things about Rotella, and that's all that's ever been in this engine since purchase.

If you mixed 50% T6 (full syn) with 50% T4 (dino) wouldn't you have 100% T5 (syn blend)
