PacBrake question

My MH has the Cummins ISC350 8.3 engine. It has the model C16020 PacBrake exhaust brake now. I have a friend that has one of the upgraded PacBrake exhaust, PRXB I believe, that is designed to be more efficient at lower RPM's. The problem is that the one he has was made to replace a Jacobs brake, and has a 3 1/2" output to the tailpipe where mine has a 4" output. Does anyone know if there is an adapter flange made to convert the output from 3 1/2" to 4" to fit the tailpipe? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello Joe, I don't think you are going to want to reduce the exhaust side of the turbo.I think you have a 4" full marmon turbo You should stay with the same size and it will have to be matched to what you have..... A full marmon mount or a half marmon mount. This is the design of the flanges on you turbo and will have to match the exhaust brake. There is a really thin gasket that goes in these flanges. The v-clamps just about pull them down to a metal to metal seal. The gaskets are if I remember right are a thin grafoil gasket. So you will have to do some home work and find out what you have on your engine to start. Mine was a full marmon mount. Hope this helps

It was my understanding that the input on my existing PacBrake is 3 1/2" but I'll check that out. Thanks!

Talked again with PacBrake tech support and concluded that it is just not practical to use the new one my friend has, too much modification. Oh well, you can't win 'em all!
