Remote oil fill ISB 5.9 CR missing.

I had an engine failure last January in FL and had the engine replaced. Went to change the oil and realized that they did not reinstall the remote oil filler. Anyone happen to have a picture of what it looks like in the the engine bay or maybe a good written description of where it connects on the engine?

Having to fill the oil from the bedroom is a pain
thanks, john.

That extendable remote oil fill tube was really awesome when I had a 5.9 so I totally understand your pain. My 6.7 doesn't have that feature...and oil change time is such a pain in the a$$.

I can't be sure...but I possibly remember that it connected to a rubber hose that then went to the front cover of the engine. You might be able to Goggle for a pic of it. Then there is the route of signing up for a QuickServ account on Cummins website. Invaluable tool for part numbers, locations etc. You will have to have your engine serial number for the account.
Good luck.

John, I found some pics of a salvage 5.9 ISB. You can clearly see in the pics that a hose connects to a front cover fitting with a large rubber hose...which then goes to the remote fill.
If your's is missing...I wonder what's there in its place?

Cool, thanks. It looks like it is part of the slobber tube. I will have to go and look
at it tomorrow. If the input is there then I should be able to fabricate a remote fill
hose and filler assy.
John.
