AS I found out too. did the job single-handedly with a little macgyver ingredients. got a toilet tank flapper and modified it to take the air tank hose.
Had to gorilla tape it in place and wrap with HVAC aluminum tape and wire wrap it in place.
1. Opened the water separator drain and saw it suck in air.
2. then turn the regulator on the air pump to 15 lbs and the separator started to expel fuel.
3. Bumped the starter with the key for 15 seconds.
4. after a minute or so I closed off the drain and shut off the air.
5.Next removed engine filter canister top and started the air again at 10 Lbs. and bumped the key again. It was like a volcano with fuel coming out of the canister.
6. shut off the air with the canister full of fuel installed the filter and top and torqued down to 20 FT LB.
7. Turned on air again an tried to start engine to a count of 20. let it sit for 1 minute and try again and it started to chug at a count of 10. turned off air.
8. attempted the key start again. Watched the fuel pressure go up to 12 and turned the key and engine started in about 4 seconds. let it pressure up the air bags, removed the safety stands and took it to the road to warm up.
On the 60 mile road trip everything seem normal. Now get up to 18 pounds of boost going thru 1st, 2nd and as it gets up to 4-5 6 see 22 lbs.
Started at the bottom of an on ramp and took all the way up to 80 MPH and the fuel pressure ran at 12 LBS and the lowest at WOT 80 MPH was 10 lbs at 22 LBS boost.
As for the OIL Pressure modification done at Western Star Dealer ( removed faulty analog pressure switch and installed new cummins supplied binary modification) also re-flashed ECU it all worked great. no engine light and my gauge shows just above the middle. Of course it lies. At least no engine light when the oil is hot and we are at idle.
I am A HAPPY CAMPER. Ya I know I was 15 MPH over the speed limit but cars were still passing me.
