Great video and pdf file

Palehorse89, thanks for that. On page 8 of the document, diagram B as I understand shows the crankcase ventilation system we are talking about. But instead of the oil returning to the crankcase, we are collecting it in a peanut butter jar. The slobber tube is the return line from the oil separator to the crankcase as shown in the diagram B but as I mentioned above it drains into the peanut jar instead of venting to the atmosphere. Is my thinking correct??

Kinda, the older engine's with a "Open Crankcase Vent"
(open to atmosphere) with the Slobber tube and collection jar that folk's put on them(Just to catch oil droplet's) is still vented to atmosphere through the hole's in the home made collection device. As where the newer style per the government emissions is filtered, recirculated back into the engine to be burned in combustion. Just like auto's with the PCV valve on the valve covers, crankcase vapors being pulled back into the intake to be re burned., but still has a vent line on them but it is filtered per government specs. to be released to Atmosphere.
Always had a dirty air filter on my 06 Harley, so I took the crankcase vent line that went to the air filter housing, and just ran it to under the bike.......air filter stays clean now.

I have often thought about making a scavenge port on my exhaust pipe and hooking the slobber tube up. That way the exhaust would just suck out what little oil comes out of the slobber tube. Not sure if that create to much of a suction though. It is done this way on some race cars that do not use a vacuum pump.

Had this system on my Z/28 in the early 70’s;

That's exactly what I was talking about. I still have an old Moroso kit in my garage. I now use a vacuum pump on my car. Might see if I can find it if I have not given it away....lol.

Why not spend a few bucks, install a Cummins design part made just for this type of crankcase vent and never have to deal with it ever again.

I've got about 10k miles on this setup and I went from oil spots all over towed car (white paint) to not one speck on it.

Always amazes me how much $$$ people spend on their coach and then cheese up on something like this by using a bottle.

Thanks palehorse, right now I have no problems with blowby so will leave the engine alone. I'll change the ccv filter next week and until I see blow by I'll just leave it.

Please note the fleetguard system I posted is for a open crankcase, NOT a engine with CCV filtration system.

If your engine has a CCV filter, don't wait till it "needs" changing, replace it on a regular schedule, what ever you determine, or Cummins recommend time.

A friend ran a length of PVC pipe from the tube w/turn-down on the end out to the side of his MH. They are full-timers so I suppose he never has oil on their towed or he'd remove the PVC pipe.
