Spring Checks & Filter changes

Getting ready for a month out of the Texas heat. Changed the fuel filters and just like my airplane I cut open the filters just to look. The first one is the Fuel/Water separator the other is the secondary filter.

Think I had a microbial growth

Bought another set of filters to change out when I get about halfway through my trip

We had a severe algae issue with our Cummins 350 a few years back and used both the shock and treatment doses of Biobor during the several months of changing the filters every few hundred miles.
And using a flashlight looking through the filler neck we could see algae on the walls of the 100 gallon tank until the entire system was 'clean as a bean'.

Yeah, that was my mistake, tank was not full when I parked it late last fall. I knew better too

Bought extra filters for this next trip.
