I have noticed a more then normal lag when starting off from traffic lights. My air filter is new and cruising and pulling power seems normal once going. I have 50,000 miles on engine and everything else is just fine. I may be over reacting since I was in the Colorado high country when I first noticed the problem, but I still wonder if the problem might be related to engine injectors. Fuel mileage is still as always.

My questions remain
1. Can I improve Turbo lag?
2. Should I use a injector cleaner fuel additive? My coach is a 2008 Essex.

All advise appreciated.

One thing I have noticed on my coach is peddle lag. The accelorator is electronic and not mechanical and the engine does't seem to resond as quick as I hit the peddle. I have noticed that lag on several cars that I have driven with electoinic throttle.

The throttle lag time IS normal and a function of the computer programmed for clean air, it simply will not allow enough fuel past the pump to ramp up revs fast and thus emit black smoke. I HATE it, give me an old mechanical CAT that will get it when you step on it. BUT in the name of progress and clean air we have lost the quick response and a solution does not appear to be close at hand.

When your in Colorado, you might think you are going down hill when you are actually climbing due to the way the trees grow. They lean funny. I thought i had sticking brakes. Trees showed I was going down hill but was actually climbing. The ECM limits the torque in first gear so you don't rip out the axels.
