update on exhaust manifold replacement 350 cummins

picked up motorhome this morining from tri state cummins.Murry Ky.

replaced all bolts, spaces ,gaskets,both manifolds,and waste gate actuator .boost went from 25psi to 30.also replaced muffler with aero turbine 4040xl.for a total
price of $1499.74. expensive but im a very happy camper.

Jim , i installed the aero muffler because its basiclly a glass pack w/some patented guts. this muffler is a pretty common aftermarket type item for motorhomes. since i had a cracked manifold at 45k miles, i wanted to improve the exhaust flow and reduce EGT. this muffler does this. they can be bought on ebay for about $165. go here for information www.aeroexhaust.com/diesel_muffler_4040xl.html

Hey Bob. at idle purrs like a kitten . thru a tunnel its a smooth growl.pac brake on were talkin king of the jungle.

You planning any more trips for the remainder of the year?

As far as extended trips next year; they're out for us because we'll be making a 4 week trip to Germany for my Son's wedding. But a 2-weeker will probably be in order.
