If the DEF at the pumps was contaminated about 500,000 trucks would be stranded on the road!!!

I have been using the Walmart blue DEF on my Mercdes Bluetec vehicles (R Class, GL, S 350, and ML) for several years with no issues.

Check the seals on the bottle also, I read on another board about people buying the def and then returning the bottle for a refund after replacing it with water. Same goes for oil to check the safety seals before you buy.

Had it happen twice with Blue DEF (two separate occasions); however, I haven't seen t for a couple years. If you see multiple layers of tape across the top, beware. Because of that, I also make sure the seal is always "whole" on the Walmart blue DEF bottles. That said, I have never seen an issue like with the Blue DEF. Always pays to check the seals. JMHO

That is a good point! I never thought about it. But, there are people who would do things like that. Thanks for bringing it up!

Just because you pay more for something doesn't make it better.
