Cool! Thanks again.

I'll start. I have a '98 GSDP with the C8.3 Cummins big block (about 504 cu. in.) and it is currently stock, tuned for 275 HP allthough I am sure that is not at the rear wheels.

I have been seriously thinking about adding the Banks Stinger Kit (AFAIK, the only one available for my vintage engine). It is supposed to boost the HP to 350 and the torque from 800 ft/lbs to around either 975 or 1015...I can't remember.

The only downside that I can see is the asking price of around $1600 but it can be had for a little less around the end of the year.

Has anyone installed/had installed this kit on a C8.3 and if so, what have you experienced and are you satisfied? The C8.3 is touted as being a million mile engine so I wouldn't want to alter that.

Also, my '98 C8.3 has a mechanical Bosch fuel pump rather than the early electronic anchor that has given so many owners fits of terror.

Let me know what if any info you all have.

Ken

quikduk, I'd suggest starting a new topic for your questions instead of in the "welcome" thread...

Cummins recently produced its 1 millionth engine at the Jamestown, NY Engine Plant.

"The engine, a 15-liter ISX diesel engine that originally was ordered by PACCAR's Kenworth Truck division, will be kept on display at the (plant)," Cummins said in a press release
