I think the only thing that sets these engines apart is the Horsepower rating. Everything else from the block to the fuel pump is the same. A 330 can be turned up to 350. I'm also pretty sure they both put out the same amount of torque 1050#

the only difference is 20 horse power and maybe 30 ft. lbs. of torque.

350 - 330 = 20. A bit of tuning.

And the ISC paired with the Allison MH3000 transmission, and in an appropriate weight RV - is a well thought of combination!

The only reason to possibly look for a coach with the slightly bigger brother to the ISC in the ISL - is that some ISL's had 2 Stage Jake Compression Brake Assist available. And a tad more torque and HP too...

But if a coach with the ISC came along that met our needs well, and was in good condition - I'd sure have no problem running down the road with an ISC pushing me along!

Best,
Smitty

Thanks for that answer...We have a 330 w/ MH 3000 and I've driven about 13k in it and so far very happy.

Cheers,
Don

ISC 330 has 330 HP and 950 ft lbs torque
ISC 350 has 350 HP and 1050 ft lbs torque.

Banks used to have charts showing the hp and torque curves. They also say there's more to uprating the 330 to 350 than just programming, even adding the Banks kit to the older 330's didn't bring them up to the 350 with the Banks kit.

I have heard that some Cummins engines had crank shaft problems Any comments would be appreciated. Richard

Probably thew wrist pins is what you've heard about. If the following link does not get you to the Sticky. Well then look at the Cummins Sticky that has wrist pins in the heading! Very narrow, in the overall scheme of Cummins ISC and ISL volume of engines, potential impact range...
