I fooled with the engine some more. When I turn the key on the start cycle does its thing and the light goes off for maybe 5 seconds then comes back on and stays on. We tried with the mechanics code reader to reset it but no success. Whatever is broke shows to be broke even when the engine is not running. Maybe going to Houston wed. Found a mechanic that will work on it. Thanks to all the replys.
