Does the CEL go out as soon as the set button is released?

Is this a new problem with a coach you've had for a while or a problem with a coach you've just purchased?

I had issues with my cruise , no-op on wet roads , traced back to corrosion on the brake light switches , that passed enough voltage; when wet; to make the Cat ECM think I had the brakes applied. But I didn't get a CEL.

EDIT: Should ask , are the cruise buttons , on the turn signal arm or the dash ?
Freightliner chassis?

Cruise control problem

Upon further checking I find that I am not getting any voltage at the cruise control switch. It is in the turn signal arm. When checking for fault codes all I get is 55 and I believe that means no faults. Where should I go from here? Thank you for your input on this problem.

If you've checked all the fuses then the next step would be to contact the chassis manufacturer for a wiring schematic so you can follow the power path from the ignition and fuses to the switch and back to the Cat ECM. ( Engine Control Module)

If !!! you're on a Freightliner chassis then the free help line phone number is,

1-800-385-4357

Have your serial number handy , it's the first thing they ask for.
