My cruise control won't engage. When turned on I get a check engine light and cruise does not engage. I checked for code faults and got a 55 code which I
Read is the no faults number. Can anyone help?

What brand of cruise control do you have? My '98 Cummins has a Cruise King KC-2500.

If that's on a Freightliner chassis, FCCC was very helpful in diagnosing my non-operating cruise control. On my 3126B, the cruise function is built into the engine ECU and controlled by a Rostra stalk through a logic-converter box. Maybe yours is similar.
