Most times they are tie-wrapped to the steering column or in close vicinity to the column.

Good luck.

If you have one up front it is probably near the steering column and it seems tied up where it is very hard to see. I didn't have one up front in my '98 Vectra and you may not have one either. If you are trying to hook up the Silver Leaf box, you may need to tie into the transmission plug. I had to do that on the Vectra and one of the previous owners did that on my 2000 Country Coadh as it doesn't have a plug up front.

My model is a 7371. We found a 6 prong plug with 4 wires. My buddy who has work on cat heavy equip. for years didn't have the right adapter. That plug may be the tranny plug like you say. Thanks for all the help. Bryan

The transmission plug is rectangular, not round, and has 12 pins. The transmission plug is gray, two rows of 6 pins each and is proprietary to Allison; you won't be able to find a plug to fit it. The VMS200 installation manual from Silverleaf shows the pin out for the Allison plug so you can determine how to splice into the wires.

You can go to this link Manuals | SilverLeaf Electronics, Inc. and scroll down to the VMS200 Installation Manual.pdf and download the file. The pin outs for the Alllison plug are shown in that document.
